Welcome at Hike Málaga!My name is Jan. I was born in Belgium and I am the proud father of a 6-year-old son.
Ever since I was a child, I’ve been passionate about sports, nature, music, history, culture and good food.
Those passions still shape how I live my life today and form the foundation of the experiences I love to share with others.
Since July 2022, I have been living in Málaga, a region where I immediately felt at home.
The combination of stunning nature, rich history, authentic culture, delicious food and more than 300 days of sunshine a year, makes Andalusia a unique place for me to live and work.
From Office Job to Nature Guide
Before moving to Spain, I worked in the corporate world for over 10 years.
Although I had built a successful career, I felt an increasingly strong desire to follow my passion and do more of what truly makes me happy: meeting people, being outdoors, staying active, exploring and sharing experiences.
Moving to Málaga gave me the chance to embark on a new path.
I decided to pursue my dream and turn my love for Andalusia into a project where I can introduce visitors to the hidden beauty of this region.
Today, I help travelers discover Málaga and Andalusia in an authentic way, far away from mass tourism.
Over 3 Years of Experience as a Guide
With over 3 years of experience as a guide, I have had the pleasure of leading hundreds of people on hikes, excursions, and outdoor activities.
What I enjoy most about guiding is that no two days are the same. Every group brings new stories, new energy, and new encounters.
I love sharing my knowledge of Andalusia’s nature, history, culture and local traditions.
I believe it is important to make sure everyone feels welcome and has a relaxing day.
My goal is not just to offer an activity, but to create an experience that people will remember for a long time.
